In many ways this is a project that shares the logic of a matrioska. Do not only in the most literal physical sense, in which one is incorporated in another, but also in a temporal sense, in which one occurs within another. The conditions of starting set an appropriate scenario for this condition: An emergency project. The Red Bull Music Academy Madrid 2011: The Red Bull Music Academy (RBMA) is an annual and nomadic musical event. Since 14, every year a city in the world hosts the 60 international participants selected and surrounded by musicians, producers and DJs to experience exchange knowledge around music. Due to the earthquake and the subsequent Fukushima disaster, what should have been the RBMA of Tokyo 2011 had to change your location and look for a new location with less than 5 months for your development. The city of Madrid took over and took advantage of the creation space of Slaughterhouse Madrid, located in an old industrial set of principles of S. XX, as the new venue for the event.
A medium-term project, La Nave de la Musica in Matadero Madrid. With the RBMA the programming of the dedicated Music Nave starts specifically to the creation and sound investigation. From the installation created, and given its experimental nature, what is built is considered as a temporary structure based on criteria of adaptability and reversibility that facilitate total reconfigurations or partial space in time.
