"While taking a stroll between the Discoveries Monument and the Hotel Altis Belém, you’ll come across a terrace/bar/restaurant specifically designed to admire the view of the beautiful Tejo River. After all, it is an elegant white and glass rectangle – designed by architects João Pedro Falcão de Campos and Ricardo Vaz – that gives life to this space. This place awaits you at any time of day: morning, lunch, for a snack and even dinner. Here you can find sandwiches, salads, appetizers, wines, juices, teas and smoothies at any time of the day. Seeing as this is an open space, during the summer it has a cover which protects from the sun, and during the winter there are blankets to keep warm. Just because of its location, this is a spot that shouldn’t be skipped, but there’s more: its simple and minimalist architecture makes it a mandatory stop. The coolest time of day to take advantage of À Margem is the end of the day, when you can enjoy the sunset. It’s the ideal place to relax at the end of a good or bad day."
