Centennial Olympic Park
"
The 1996 Centennial Olympic Park designed by EDAW was the first Olympic games to be designed as a “Hospitality” venue. This was accomplished in close design collaboration with the park landscape architects, the Olympic Regional Development Authority and various vendors such as Sara Lee, Budwiser, Coca-Cola and many others. Services ranged from conceptual design, to fabrication and installation assistance and coordination with all permitting agencies. The project had a rigorous approvals process, coupled with a start-to-finish design and construction window of less than 6-months. Over 15 different hospitality venues were designed and constructed in time for the opening ceremonies.
